I saw this movie probably in the 60's and it was an old movie on TV. There were ghosts living in the walls of an old mansion; when people would look into a mirror, the ghosts would reach through the mirror and drag the person through it into the wall. I looked at IMDb, and found an anthology movie that had mirrors from 1944, can't recall the name. Also looked at a 1945 movie, "The Uninvited", because it had an old mansion on a cliff at the ocean's edge - an image I remember along with the mirrors. Then I looked at 'The Haunting" 1963, but it didn't quite fit. Any ideas?

rachelcarson1953, could you possibly be thinking of “The Hungry Glass,” an episode of the ‘60s Karloff-hosted show Thriller? It’s my favorite episode of the show, and it has the ghosts, the mirrors, and the house by the sea. And it’s available for free online! Let me know if that’s it.

Also, the anthology movie you found is probably Dead of Night ’45, which has a fantastic mirror/ghost sequence.

I withheld one small detail - the mirror I hid in my closet was identical to one of the small mirrors in that room! It was there! That was it!!!
And what a treat, seeing William Shatner pre-Star Trek, and Donna Douglass not in the Beverly Hillbillies!Thank you, you've answered a question that's been waiting over 50 years!
