Do you think the 2010 remake measures up to "New Nightmare"?

No I absolutely hated the remake. Its on my worst 100. What did you think of Haley's performance? Terrible. Not really his fault though. He was badly miscast. Robert Englund suggested Billy Bob Thorton before the film began production. I would have loved to see him in the role.

7.5 I voted 8
Excellent premise, going full Inception for Heather & Freddy. Practically fan service overload before fan service oversaturation 10+ years later. The last bastion of chilling horror for me as an adult is the more nefarious stuff - & evil using Heather's past with Freddy to breakout is well done. I remembered it as a darker, less MTV Freddy, & thankfully decades later it still holds up. Heather's performance was a bit shaky, & yet as viewer buying in that she's playing an off-set actress, she gets a weird pass for acting ordinary.
