Don't forget the change your clocks back an hour.
I don't mind the extra hour of sleep, but I don't like the days getting dark so early.
Is Daylight Saving Time something we should keep or an outdated process that should be removed?

I definitely think we should keep it. A lot of people would disagree with me, though. And yes, though it's nice to get that extra hour of sleep, it hardly seems sufficient to compensate for the loss of all that daylight...and more and more of it until after the Winter Solstice.

Actually, it was several weeks ago, in my time zone.

Is Daylight Saving Time something we should keep or an outdated process that should be removed? Daylight Saving Time was first implemented by the Germans during WWI, at a time when the principal use of electricity was inefficient incandescent light bulbs. Now we have compact fluorescent and LED light bulbs, and the main use of electricity is air conditioning - which means daylight saving time increases energy use. DST is an idea that outlived its usefulness a long time ago.

Is Daylight Savings Time something we should keep or an outdated process that should be removed? Daylight Saving.LOL. This fact is something I have to keep reminding myself about. I know it's just "Savin g"--singular, not plural--but I keep saying "Saving s"...and then, every once in a while, I'll catch myself saying it, and make a comment like, "A lot of people call it 'Savings', but it's really 'Saving'." After which, I'll make a conscious effort to say it correctly for a few times--but then, all too soon, go back to using the incorrect form! Weird. Anyway, one pleasant thing for me: for a few weeks, at least, sunrise will be coming an hour "sooner" than it is now...and since I get up at 5:00 a.m., that's significant.

Here in the US, we remind ourselves with the phrase, "Spring Forward and Fall Back". I HATE the springing forward part, it takes me weeks to adapt, but the fall back part is a good thing, back on natural time.
It's hard enough to deal with Seasonal Affective Disorder, so the fall back helps some, but it just needs to go back to regular time and be done with it. It just messes with peoples' work schedules and causes sleep deprivation in the spring.

I like the extra hour of sleep. I hate when it stays light out until nine, like in the summer. I like the dark. I like when I don't know what time it is and I look up at the clock and it's still fairly early. It makes me feel like I have more time in the day. It cracks me up whenever someone complains about it getting dark earlier. The days already start getting longer by December 21. It doesn't even last long.I think we need to do away with this stupid practice though.

I hate this shit of getting dark so early, and the extra hour of sleep doesn't mean shit after the first day or two. I'll be driving to and from work in the dark, and it's fucking depressing.

I'm flattered an old thread of mine was bumped. Right now its SPRING FORWARD, so we are losing an hour of sleep unless we go to bed early - not a simple task.
It takes me weeks to adapt, and I resent this practice. Even though I no longer punch a time clock, it still messes with my circadian rhythm. Bad for the health. Yet another government infringement on our personal freedoms, which are dwindling fast.
