Happy 89th Birthday Claudia Barrett!!! Born on November 3, 1929 in Los Angeles, California. Thanks for everything, retired since 1964 from acting, but stayed in show business, working for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. American actress who never reached the big times, but thanks to one movie is remembered, playing the female lead in Z-grade Science-Fiction "classic" Robot Monster 1953. After high school, she studied at Pasadena Community Playhouse for a year and acted at Encino Little Theatre. Though she would mainly be involved with television, her acting career began with film in the late 1940s and 1950s. At age 18, she was signed (as Imagene Williams) to a contract with Warner Bros. Her first movie appearance was in the 1949 classic film noir White Heat. In 1953, she played one of the lead roles in the science-fiction film Robot Monster, generally regarded as one of the worst films of all time. She appeared in numerous television shows including The Abbott and Costello Show, General Electric Theater, Cavalcade of America, The Lone Ranger, The Roy Rogers Show, Highway Patrol, Tales of Wells Fargo, 77 Sunset Strip, Railroad Detective, Hopalong Cassidy, The Millionaire, Man with a Camera and The Jack Benny Show. The few pictures I could find: The Happy Years 1950, with Dean Stockwell Rustlers on Horseback 1950 Robot Monster 1953, with George Nader and George Barrows as the Robot Monster. Death Valley Days TV episode Gold Is Where You Find It 1956 Chain of Evidence 1957 Peter Gunn TV episode The Long, Long Ride 1960 You Have to Run Fast 1961, with Grant Richards. Her last acting role was in the Western movie Taggart 1964 Claudia Barrett acted in 74 movies and television productions.

A production of 'Robot Monster : The Musical' premiered last year at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in Hollywood, California. Jamie Miller played the role of Alice and received rave reviews. Hopefully a film version will follow.
