so far I am really not enjoying this season of Arrow. I really do not care about anything that is going on at this point.
Prison story - don't care future story - do not care! Diaz story - don't care new Arrow - don't care Vigilantes in the city or whatever story - don't care
I really hope they pick things up soon. I have loved the series for the most part. Yes it got weaker starting with Damien Darhk but this season has been the weakest so far.

Phew, at first I misread this and thought you said you were really enjoying this season so far; seems my new glasses aren't quite doing the trick...
Yeah, it's getting to be a slough watching Arrow. I can't really say I'm too enthusiastic watching any of the Arrowverse shows; Supergirl seems marginally better, but from what it's been, that's not saying much. The Flash hasn't really drawn me in much; and Legends is just too campy and characters bordering on brain dead. I mean, see my thread about how stupid they've made Ray...
I'd go back before Damien Dhark and go Ra's starting them down this road. Everything Malcolm brainwashing Thea to kill Sara, Oliver's sort-of death for a few minutes, only to be revive with some tea or magic penicillin or whatever, to Team Arrow ganging up on Olliver for his sort-of death; and then finally Oliver and Felicity having sex. I hate it all, almost as much as I hate season 6 of Buffy....

How are ya feelin’ about the evil Felicity storyline this season Tay Tay? I warned you people that she was no good but nobody listened to me and her true colours are showing now and they had to kill her in the future to stop the evil soulless monster she become. It’s moments like this when we need to pop out the Eddie Money. Got a surprise especially for you. Something that both of us have always wanted to do. We've waited so long, waited so long. We've waited so long, waited so long. I'm gonna take you on a trip so far from here. I've got two tickets in my pocket, now baby, we're gonna disappear. We've waited so long, waited so long. We've waited so long, waited so longI've got two tickets to paradise. Won't you pack your bags, we'll leave tonight. I've got two tickets to paradise. I've got two tickets to paradise

So after watching this week's episode of Arrow I am finally starting to get somewhat interested in this season. Hopefully after the crossover and the hiatus, it will come back and start picking up the pace and really explore some new characters.

I am excited for the crossover this week, but this has been a very weak season. The show has really always been cheesy, but at least the action and mystery was fun. They took away both this season and just left cheese.

Part 1 of the crossover was quite good. I am going to wait until the weekend and watch the entire thing.

Part 2 of the crossover was also good. They seem to save all of their good writing for these crossover events and then let the writers coast for the rest of the seasons.

Part 2 of the crossover was also good. They seem to save all of their good writing for these crossover events and then let the writers coast for the rest of the seasons. Honestly, I liked Part 1, but I wasn't terribly impressed with Part 2. Part 2 seemed more on par with the standard of writing for these shows the rest of the time. The schmaltz with Oliver and Felicity was groan-worthy, as usual.
I have mixed feelings about Batwoman; they just sort of went with the same stock depiction of a grumpy vigilante that they've applied to a thousand Batman movies and has served as the premise for Arrow for seven seasons. I'm mostly disappointed that this is Earth 1 Batwoman after all. When speculation abound as to how Batwoman, let alone Batman would fit into any of this, the most promising explanation was that Batwoman could be from an alternate Earth or "elseworld" that would allow a more open interpretation that wouldn't undermine the potential appearance of an active Batman on Earth 1. So naturally they went the other way; and pretty much exactly like they did with the failed Birds of Prey series way back when, their only explanation for the absence of Batman is to have him leave Gotham, which by and large is completely antithetical to the character. The only saving grace was the debate over whether or not Batman was real or myth, which is how the character should be portrayed in order to be effective and to properly conceal Bruce's identity. Yet the way the way they included Batwoman felt like more of the same; there's no subtlety and she drops coy hints, not just about her own identity, but seemingly Bruce's too. I want to give the benefit of the doubt that the only reason Kara put two and two together that Kate was Batwoman was because she already knew the identity of Batman on her Earth, but between her comment about using her x-ray vision and the hints dropped by Kate, it seems more likely that Kate is pretty much making the same mistakes Oliver, Barry and Kara all have made; and that more people are able to figure out her identity than should be able to. More time could have been spent defining her character, especially if this is to serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential series (and maybe there's more of her in Part 3).
I was also very disappointed with how little they used Earth 90's Flash, seeing how much they touted him in the promotion of the crossover; and that he was used in the teaser last week leading up to this. He barely shows up long enough to tell them about the book, and then immediately gets winked out of existence. Again, maybe he'll reappear for a good portion of Part 3, but I'm not holding my breath.
One last up side, I like Earth 90's Flash mentioning John "not wearing his ring" - which I took to implicate that on his Earth, John's doppelganger is a Green Lantern; possibly John Stewart.

I really liked the first two episodes. I watched them today. They are far better than any episode this season for any of these shows. I absolutely hated Batgirl though and I love that actress. I am so sick of these new characters coming in and automatically being SO 'badass'. They had to tell us how badass she was when she showed up and she had to easily knock down Oliver and Barry. Of course she did. We have to show how great and 'badass' she is. Still, I am really enjoying this crossover so far. I wish I had the final episode, which is why I normally watch these all at once.

I watched the finale last night. REALLY cheesy ending, but overall I thought it was very well done. These crossover events seem to be the highlight of every season. Also, did anyone else get complete nostalgia when they showed the Kent Farm and Smallville and started playing 'Somebody Save Me'? I miss Smallville. I was almost hoping for Welling and Durance to show up. The Lane on this show stinks in every way. Still, I loved the special effects for a show like this. They did a pretty good job.

I didn't get why running a mach 7 was going to kill the two of them, seems kind of dumb given Barry has been able to run past Mach 13 since 2/3's the way through S2 give or take an episode.
Actually that's a thing wasn't pre boost Barry & Kara about equal in speed back then, how has she gotten faster? For him it makes sense his power naturally develop over time, plus he got a boost then he spent time in the speedforce and got fast, then spent another year getting faster, then 6 more months in the speedforce at which point he came out fast enough to run to china and back in a matter of seconds...how has Kara gotten as fast for no reason? Also they were moving way faster than mach 7, and why would them moving in opposite directions at that speed slow down time? in a bullshit way I get them being able to stop the earth from rotating but that doesn't slow down time, it would just stop the earths natural rotation.
It's almost like this show has no care or understanding on reality...hehehe.
I kind of liked the crossover this year, generally I find them to be the laziest written of the seasons, they just rely on the team up factor imo, but it was mostly fun, but ok does this mean there is an Earth 1 Alex Danvers and fam? what in the hell is with these shows sometimes I am so confused, thank god next year is infinite crisis that's where the multiverse merges right? and we can be done with this shit? it wa a fun concept they fucked all to hell imo, now we just have to wonder what deal Oliver made...
Oh yeah and like I said I liked the crossover just my brain has to nit pick.

I have to agree with you taylorfirst1. Even though I am enjoying it a LOT more than Season 4 of 'Arrow' which will always be the worst season in my opinion this is definitely one of the weakest seasons to date and aside from the Emiko Queen storyline it feels like the writers don't have a clue what they are doing anymore in the present or the future and I haven't seen tonight's episode yet but from what I have seen there is no clear villain or direction and I don't know how it is going to end this year which is very different than previous seasons where we knew Oliver would face off with Malcolm, Slade, Ra', Damian, Prometheus and Ricardo at the end.
