Wow I'm surprised so many people must talk about school at your kindergarten. Wow!
I'm really surprised how a retarded brainless fat boy like you was able to even use your 286 PC.

Don’t assume that doctors who believe in God mostly ignore their religions. There’s no need to do that. Religious doctors are as serious about medicine as doctors who don’t believe in God. I know very well most of doctors don't give a damn about religion. Have you MET most of the doctors in the world? Don’t jump to conclusions.

"Universal spirit OR a higher power." Heck I believe in a higher power...I believe in nature and I believe it is a higher power. So without further clarification or qualification, nature, the sun, supernovae, the collective human community...any of those could be considered "higher" powers by the scientists answering the question.

an idiot reporter...just because someone gets an abortion doesn't mean they automatically qualify for Hell
I agree.
The one thing I've never understood about supposedly earnest religious types, is their inability in trusting that their God can handle the judgement of sins in the hereafter.
One of the main reasons I've never self-identified as a Republican is because the GOP was heavily invested in that 'Moral Majority' crowd as I was growing up.
In my area, religious people have always been much more reasonable and 'Live & Let Live' kinda people.
"The one thing I've never understood about supposedly earnest religious types, is their inability in trusting that their God can handle the judgement of sins in the hereafter." Those are not the earnest. Those are the ones that pick pieces from The Bible/religion to use against someone else, while completely disregarding the other pieces that say it's ultimately up to God.

Why is libs so God averse? Did he pee in their cheerios or something? If you equate the Spanish Inquisition or banning same sex marriage with peeing in Cheerios, well then, yeah "he" did.

I'm an atheist and in my view the problem is when believers become convinced that it is God's Will for them to commit their aggressive and heinous crimes, as they often did and still do. Adherents of the Abrahamic faiths seem particularly prone to inciting this kind of violence.

Billions and billions of people are part of the Abrahamic religions.

I agree with you, but I understand that religion is still a strong influence on some peoples lives and I respect that. I don't mind that they believe in sky wizards.
What I don't respect is when they automatically assume that we're supposed to believe too, that we're supposed to believe in THEIR sky wizard, and that our government and nation should be run that way too.
Separation of church and state. Period.
Keep your religion to yourself. That's your choice. You don't get to make that choice for everyone else. We have the right to make that choice for ourselves. Religion belongs in your home and your church. NOWHERE else. We don't all believe in the same religion, some of us don't follow religion at all, and we all have the right to freedom of religion in this country. To force your religion on everyone else in what's UN-AMERICAN.
What's hard to understand about that?

God is using the street vernacular "son" in that sentence.

Someone starts talking about 'God', I call them a selective atheist.
I believe in ALL THE GODS!!!
I was an atheist for awhile, following Roman Catholic indoctrination.
I don't believe in a paternal, separate, or judgemental God, but the idea that 'This is all just a fantastic fluke' is just as hard to believe as any God.

Didja know the majority of scientists admit to a belief in a God/Higher Power? Once again, a common characteristic of the trumphumpers... multiple choice memory

There is such a thing as compartmentalization. It is actually possible to do work without inserting your religion/politics into everything.
Of course, but what, exactly does believing in God mean, then?
As far as the way they phrased the question................ even though they broke it into more than 1 option for some strange reason, it's really very simple...........either you believe in 'something more' .............. or you do not.
