That's sad.
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid was one of my favs as a kid.... It was the first story I can remember where I saw the "heroes" didn't win.

The Ghost and the Darkness was rather immoral. Ignoring the fact that the claims of lion kills was greatly exaggerated, the story rather weirdly presented the Muslim and Hindu railroad workers unequally.
The black guide told Kilmer's character that the Muslim and Hindu workers were always fighting about eating cattle. The muslims eat them and the hindus don't.
Kilmer asks if he, the guide, eats the cattle-and he replies "of course." Then later as Kilmer is leaving, the Muslim foreman waves to Kilmer.
Why the Muslim love? It also is very unsympathetic to animals. Compare it with THE LION or some other Hollywood film from decades ago.

Author of The Princess Bride, and scriptwriter on film. I don't wish to sound flippant here and Goldman had a great artistic contribution to film, but I don't quite get how his loss is inconceivable. He was 87yrs old, the average life expectancy is around 80. Death at the age of somebody who is in their late 80's is to be expected and anticipated.
