Some people still go there to update their film credits.

Some people still go there to update their film credits. I often search for lists on IMDB. Read some reviews too. I can say that I visit IMDB on average 5 days per week and sometimes multiple times on a single day.
Though I didn't get the old "board" part in the OP. There isn't any board any more. Sadly.

I don't have much interest in new movies and I have the really good old ones on DVD. One exception might be Ralph Breaks the Internet. I usually can't be bothered with animated movies, but it might have something special to say anyway.

There is no old board to go to.
I still visit the IMDB web site for its primary function (a movie database), but the discussion board no longer exists.

There is no old board to go to. I still visit the IMDB web site for its primary function (a movie database), but the discussion board no longer exists. It isn't the same sort of "discussion" board, but it is a board of sorts considering the variety and source of the content. Some CDs are albums too. An "album" is a collection of items.

Absolutely! The SITE is great for looking up movies that are playing on satellite but you don't know if it's a good movie or not.
Also, people still post reviews, even of individual TV episodes, plus there is trivia and quotes to read. And if one is older and can't remember an actor's name or what else that actor appeared in... It is still a great source of information. Just because I can't argue with some other anonymous poster about a plot or theme or whatever, doesn't mean it isn't a useful site.

I go to IMDb for the same reason I went there in the first place. I happen to be interested in films.

Barely ever. My first preference is Wikipedia. If I need the IMDb link for whatever reason, it’s typically in the external links section and I can click it from there.

Yes. To write reviews. I think I'll got write a "rave" for EXPELLED: INTELLIGENCE NOT ALLOWED and give it a 10/10. You have to admit it's a fantastic piece of work. Original and risk taking, yep. I'll go do that now.
