That is my question
I have between 700 and 800 books
The last option in the poll is of course supose to be 5000 and not 500.

I answered what I have now, which is 0-99.
I don't know exactly how many I have now. It could be a bit over 100, maybe, if I were to count every single thing like hiking guides and so on (and would atlases count?)
But at any rate, I got rid of the vast majority of books I owned. I don't know how many I've owned, but it was well over 1,000. There were years where I bought over 100 in a year, and I've been reading/buying books for 50 years. But I decided to get rid of everything save for a handful of favorites, especially now that 99% of my reading is done via a kindle or computer.

Probably over 5,000, I have too many and they're too scattered to actually count.

Books total and in storage, about 500 or so, this number was probably about closer to 800-900 until the great book sorting and give away took place about three years ago. My current practice is just to thrift most books away now and only keep the most interesting or highly valued ones for the book shelf.

That depends on how you count them. I have more than 2500 print books (the 11 shelves groaning under the weight of them as I type) and probably more than that in e-book formats, depending on how they're counted. For example, I have a collection containing everything Mark Twain wrote which is currently in the public domain. If you count each of the books in that collection as a separate book, which they are, there are more than 30 books there. It could also be counted as one very large book. I have more than 100 such collections by various authors. If you count individual books within collections as books, then I have over 4,000 e-books. If one e-book=one e-book, no matter what, then I have roughly 1,000 e-books. (Sorry, I work with numbers a lot). I have lots of books. May this find you happy and healthy. Robert Reynolds Tucson AZ
