Not all such places have people who kill you on sight, sacrifice you to a giant ape, or quarantine you to prevent the spread of a parasitic vine.
Svalbard Global Seed Vault, Norway -On a remote Norwegian island, is a vault for storing seeds to repopulate the Earth in case of crisis.
Ilha de Queimada Grande, Brazil -An island heavily populated by snakes with venom so deadly it can melt human flesh.
North Brother Island, New York -Once site for a typhoid quarantine hospital, then rehab centre for teen junkies. Now a bird sanctuary.
Dulce Base, New Mexico -Best to believe the conspiracists and stay the hell away. Supposedly there's an underground base, akin to an underground Area 51.
Mezhgorye, Russia -You set foot here without authorization, you better have a tank to hide in, that might give you enough time to escape the Russian battalions guarding this closed off town before the automated missiles start hunting your ass. For this closed town houses a nuclear missile site.
Chichen Itza, Mexico -The famous Mayan pyramid is now off-limits. Why? Because a tourist died after a fall. Health and safety an' all.
Heard Island, Australia -Well, it belongs to Australia, it is quite some distance from it. Active volcanoes, debris, its off-limits to preserve a fragile natural environnent.
Bhangarh Fort, India -I would love to be the one to make a warning sign for this one. This one is off-limits for a reason you tend not to see much of. It's haunted. 👻👻👻👻👻👻👻

...and there is also that area in the Pacific Ocean that is the size of Texas that is filled with plastic and debris from cruise liners.

Only the vault itself is off limits. The vault is just outside Longyearbyen, the northernmost settlement in the world that has a population greater than 1000. For them, the sun set just before Halloween and will not be seen again until after Valentines Day. How do Flat-earhers explain that?
I only happen to know this because there was a total solar eclipse there in 2015, but with only 30 hotel rooms on the entire island, the cost was prohibitive.

The changing of the seasons and the sun's position in the sky aren't a round-earth versus flat-earth issue. It works with both models.
