Stephen King
Best: The Shining (novel); Different Seasons (Novellas/Short Stories collection)
Worst: From A Buick 8
(And when I say "Worst", that doesn't mean I thought it was awful, but simply that it was the only book of his I've read (and I've read (roughly) half of his stuff), that by the second half of the book, I just wanted it to end.......a feeling I've never had with anything else of his that I've ever read).

Agatha Christie: Best: Murder on the Orient Express Worst: Elephants Can Remember So, you thought "Elephants" was worse than Postern Of Fate or Passenger To Frankfurt?

Stephen King Best: Salem's Lot Worst: Gerald's Game Gotta agree on Gerald's Game, a perfect example of King taking a story that should have been maybe novella length and turning it into a long and boring novel.
