Blu-ray (1987/1988) Prime Evil/ Lurkers double feature (1982) Boardinghouse (1977) Death Promise (1993) Trauma
4K+Blu-ray (1988) Dead Heat (1993) Ticks
Opened up my VS box from the Memorial Day sale so I can watch them during the October Challenge (minus Death Promise). Really looking forward to Boardinghouse. Trailer looks like weird, insane fun.
Dead Heat is an upgrade and old favorite and I thought I would never own or get to rewatch Ticks once the Olive blu-ray went oop. Let alone an extras packed collector's edition.
I first saw it on TNT Monstervision with Joe Bob Briggs.

Blu-ray (2017) 10/31 (2015) The Witching Season (2015) Volumes of Blood: special killectors edition (2020) The Last Thanksgiving
Opened up another box and got'em out of the cellophane. These from Scream Team Releasing. All will be FTV for the October Challenge but I think I'll save The Last Thanksgiving for a November watch.
The first three are all anthologies. I chose to get a limited edition slipcover for 10/31. I know these are on the low budget/very bad acting side but they looked like so much fun in the trailers with loads of Halloweeny/Fall atmosphere and old school practical fx.

DVD (1966) You're A Big Boy Now
Mr. Magoo: The Theatrical Collection 1949-1959 box set
Blu-ray (2020) Zola (1989) Driving Miss Daisy
Heh. Opened up another old box, this time from Amazon, in preperation for the October Challenge only to find no horror movies.
The Mr. Magoo set includes his first theatrical feature length movie. (1959) 1001 Arabian Nights
Zola is one of the funniest modern day comedies I've ever seen. Driving Miss Daisy is a sweet, calming, comfort movie to me. With of course incredible acting...well except for Akroyd hee hee.
YABBN is so quirky and just unlike any other movie I've ever seen. Written (but based on a book) and directed by Francis Ford Coppola it was his thesis project at UCLA.
Very funny in its absurdity. A great cast-coldly beautiful and playing against type Elizabeth Hartman, Geraldine Page as Bernard's nutty, vastly overprective mother, Rip Torn, sweet Karen Black, Julie Harris in a seriously whacky role, and Dolph Sweet (Chief from Gimme A Break) playing-you guessed it, a cop.
And incredibly interesting and fascinating shots and locations in real life 1965 New York. What an atmosphere and time to drink it all in. For one, Bernard visits an adult book store haha. Oh yeah and an incredibly catchy theme song too..Girl beautiful girl..

DVD(2012) The Dead 2
Blu-ray (1973) Invasion of the Bee Girls (1995) Jack-O (1991) Kingdom of the Vampire (2017) Safe Inside (1981) The Howling steelbook
4K+Blu-ray (1981) The Howling collector's edition (1987) The Lost Boys Best Buy exclusive steelbook
aka The Dead 2: India. Its even better than the first one. Has one of the creepiest scenes ever in a zombie movie. Where the man and kid have to cross an enormous, expansive graveyard and you see fairly freshly piled dirt crumble and hear low muffling noises. "I think they can hear us walking."
I had Bee Girls on MGM Midnite Movies VHS. A sexy, horny, fun sci-fi horror slice of 1970s wildness.
I've been waiting so long forJack-O to come to Blu. Nevertheless I fitzed around and did not preorder it, so I missed out on the limited slipcover with original VHS artwork.
Kingdom of the Vampire trailer looked like the movie is low budget but promising vamp fun.
I liked trailer to Safe Inside too, don't care how many comments I've seen calaiming its crap. Looks fun and Judith Odea is in it.
The Best Buy employee told me The Lost Boys steelbook was the last in the store as he handed it to me. I missed out on the Poltergeist steelbook even though I was in the store 25 minutes after they opened. Very limited and people preorder stuff.
The Lost Boys finally gets its due!

The last house on the left (2009) Dracula 2000 Dracula 2: Ascension Dracula 3: Legacy Gasoline Alley Have you watched the Draculas yet ?2000 is pretty good, underrated. I just love the movie's take on who Dracula really is and how/why he became a vampire. The explanation of his weakness to silver. Most people, if they remember it at all remember it for the in your face brand/marketing placement of Virgin Records store. I likely have seen 2...but can't remember a thing about it. Legacy is the one set in space iirc. I remember the space one having a pretty creepy design with the ship, lighting, the eerie silence and everything, and the vampires in suspended animation? I think. I really want to rewatch/buy this trilogy now. Been way too long since I have seen them and I at least remember liking Legacy and of course 2000. The first one is a Wes Craven Presents production. I remember he was lending his name/presents stamp out to seemingly every horror movie, like 3 out of every 4 horror movies released in 1999/the early 00s. They, and I'm pretty sure even to that awful Carnival of Souls remake.

Got The Funhouse and Sleepy Hollow in the mail, both on DVD. Will be watching those for the 2022 challenge. The Funhouse 4K was on sale at Amazon for $20 but I missed it, maybe it'll be on sale again in Oct. I started to watch it once, back when it was on Joe Bob Brigg's Monstervision. The first 15 or 20 minutes are so good, incredible atmosphere, the creepy carnival setting, but sometime around 40 minutes, well before an hour anyway, I lost all interest in it and watched/did something else. I have wanted to give it another go, a full watch, for awhile cause it starts off so promising.

Got The Funhouse and Sleepy Hollow in the mail, both on DVD. Will be watching those for the 2022 challenge. Hope those will do it for you, as much as they did for me, when I re-watched them both, during the 2020 October Challenge. I felt The Funhouse sure was even more rewarding during a second visit, where as Sleepy Hollow was one of the films I picked up to watch on Halloween eve, and have been thinking of bringing it along this time as well, but maybe not for Halloween, as I have not yet gotten to which ones I will close it off with. But at least I have some time, until that happens.

Jennifer’s Body (2009) BlurayThe Dead Zone (1983) dvd Against All Odds (1984) dvd Books; The Stake Richard Laymon Amara Richard Laymon The Cellar Richard Laymon Prey Graham Masterton I still have not seen that one, but might finally be able of doing so, later this month. The Dead Zone I think was included (very successfully) in the 2020 October Challenge, and Against All Odds, well I am not gonna spoil anything, but yeah, beside James Woods, that one was, well, quite a let down for me that is.

DVD TaleSpin volume 2
Blu-ray (1977) Shock Waves
4K+Blu-ray (1978) The Toolbox Murders (1997) I Know What You Did Last Summer 25th Anniversary
I finally have all vols. of TaleSpin now.
Shock Waves was among the first half dozen DVDs I ever bought. A classic with great atmosphere, deserted locations, zombie make up, the legendary and great Peter Cushing and a sexy Brooke Adams in her prime.
IKWYDLS ---Finally!! About time. I like the sequel even more and hope it gets the same loving 4K+Blu treatment soon.

I like the sequel even more and hope it gets the same loving 4K+Blu treatment soon. I only have a handful of the TaleSpin region 2 European/Norwegian DVDs, which is also titled "Volumes", but only contains a few episode on each release, so nowhere near the same amount of episodes as the region 1, or so I would think. Shock Waves, now that one I have had lying in my watchlist for far too long, so might just include it very soon to the October Challenge. Kind of "weird" to see I Know What You Did Last Summer and then 25th Anniversary, damn, times sure flies by, as this was one of my favorite slashers of the late 90s, but sadly not one that I felt had managed to live up to my positive teenage memories. But damn, Jennifer Love Hewitt looked great in both of the films, along with Brandy, I think back then, I did not realize who Jeffrey Combs was, but noticed he had a part in one of the films, from last visit 4-5 years back. Hm, could considered one of them to be picked up and re-watched also this month, but have to see how things go, as there is just too many films that I want to catch as First Time Views, then you have all the ones that I want to Re-Watch as well.

The vampires on a spaceship movie I remembered seeing was Dracula 3000. Doh ! "Dracula 3000" was an African production piggybacking off of the other movies. It had no connection to "Dracula 2000". It's awful.
