If you think Saw ripped off Cube, you ain't seen nothing yet. Even the characters are similar, notably the loser type guy is the hero and the black alpha guy is...not.
Only thing it doesn't have is the gore...my heart sank when Karen Page used "hell" in obvious place of "f*ck" and I realized it was pg13.
Movie itself wasn't bad, though they made the mistake of killing off the most likable character first. And the explanation of why it's all happening at the end is predictable and cliched.

I didn't realize it was out yet. It looked a lot like cube, and it was only inevitable somebody would make a movie about/named after escape rooms. The PG13 of it all is disappointing if predictable, but the trailer didn't look so terrible. Probably just because it has reasonably hugh production values and reminded me of cube, which I remember liking.

Yeah, once you get passed it being a straight ripoff, it's okay. Though I forgot to mention how hilariously stupid the ending is.

I will totally add this to my Netflix queue in six months and never, ever actually watch it.

I forgot about this movie. Did you watch the "No escape room" from Syfy? Pretty ridiculous but still watchable for the most part.
