JAMES shows ALYSSA the evidence that the house owner was a criminal. It makes no sense. It does in the comic book, where JAMES killed the house owner while he was talking to ALYSSA. In this adaptation, he killed him while he was trying to rape ALYSSA. Why does he feel he has to prove her something?

i hope no season 2 happens for this show. Why? If you read the book, things culminate organically there'd be no point to another season.

If you read the book, things culminate organically there'd be no point to another season. I read it. I know that JAMES died in it, but that doesn't automatically mean the show shouldn't continue, since they're to trying to make the story stand on its own. They've been doing a good job at it by making the 2 protagonists more likeable and worthy of a redemption.

The Leftovers nailed it, Game of Thrones didn't and that can be worrisome. This could've been a resounding mini-series.

This could've been a resounding mini-series. That's true. 13 REASONS WHY didn't pull it off, but that's because they didn't really try to advance the story. Season 2 was just a very long aftermath. GAME OF THRONES is different, though. It's a book series that is meant to continue but hasn't had the latest book published yet. Not to mention that the author is an exec. producer so maybe the next book will be what we've seen in the show. I've never seen THE LEFTOVERS.

The Leftovers gets better and better, as for GOT doubt that the books will follow show at all. Stannis actually seems headed in an entirely separate direction from the show. Ie: hes going to fuck up Ramsey most likely.
