This is a fun series starring the aging Andy Griffith as a Southern lawyer who is pretty much like Andy Taylor, LOL.
My favorite character on the show was Julie March, superbly played by Julie Sommers, who was often Matlock's opponent in court, but who eventually became his friend and possible love interest. I loved her and was saddened when the format changed and her character was eliminated, although she was brought back in the final season for one episode to boost the show's sagging ratings.
Country music star Randy Travis played a young man hired by Ben to paint his house. Well, it was soon established that he had no knowledge of that trade, but he and Ben did a great guitar duet on the porch! In another episode, Randy (playing the same character) was Ben's client when he was falsely accused of murder.
Does anyone else like this series?

Does anyone else like this series? I don't watch it, BUT does he ALWAYS WIN like 'Perry Mason', or NOT?
