For anyone who doesn’t know, the review embargo for Aquaman ends on Tuesday morning. I don’t know about everyone else, but I think I’ll be spending my Monday night freaking out over the possibility that critics won’t like the movie.
Just thought I’d share that.

I'm fairly confident in a 70% RT score. I'm not really sweating this one. Unless the movie happened to be a self aware constantly that makes fun of the character at every possible chance, I’m not counting on it getting anything higher than a 50%. Being a straight up comedy with fart jokes, Batman having sex with Batgirl, and twerking babies is apparently the only way critics will like a DC movie.

Why is it so important what some selected critics on review aggregators say? It shouldn't be.

Why is it so important what some selected critics on review aggregators say? It shouldn't be.Seriously! Is the poster FIVE Years old? It's really disturbing that someone would PANIC over how well some "movie" may or may not do at the BOX Office... The OP needs to get some professional help, in learning how to properly prioritize the events in life... Such As: If you are going to panic... Panic over the possibility of not making enough income at work to put enough food on the table to feed the entire family!

Panic over the possibility of not making enough income at work to put enough food on the table to feed the entire family! It was obviously an exaggeration. I’m not going to lose sleep over the movie, but I will be pretty disappointed if it doesn’t fare well critically (I don’t care about box office).

Panic over the possibility of not making enough income at work to put enough food on the table to feed the entire family! Box office is dramatically important. It determines the future of the franchise, no more relevant than the circumstances we’re in now. I didn’t give JL a glowing review, but I wish it made a lot more money because we’re not seeing another one for a long time. Artistic integrity and expression is great, but money is the foundation for which it’s all built upon, and critics do have a part to play in that.

Fair enough, I'm not sure why people are giving you shit for sharing this. I'll see it regardless of critics, but I get that concern and would be disappointed myself to hear the same old thing that BVS and SS went though, especially after given all the good vibes we heard beforehand for Aquaman and the marketing being for lack of a better word, more positive.

That’s still too high. That movie was so bad that it actually made me angry. I think it was even worse than Suicide Squad. It’s almost phenomenal just how badly Bruce Timm and Brian Azzarello screwed up. I can’t think of a single good thing about the film. Even Conroy and Hamill sounded like they were phoning it in.

I think some people gave it a pass just because the second half is a fairly faithful retelling of the comic. But I actually agree with you, I hated that goddamn thing. More than Suicide Squad, more than even Batman and Robin.

Why is it so important what some selected critics on review aggregators say? It shouldn't be. awww, facts sucklol, thanks for taking the time and going so deep down in my posting history. A few days ago would have sufficed when I posted about the unbelievable Spiderverse ratings. Btw: An essential indication for a low-effort thinker is the inability to distinguish between " subjective" and "objective/facts". Try to think about it. If you can't, I will spell it out for you: I personally could not worry less about a site's rating of a film - and nobody mentally stable should - there are thousands of critics and only a few are represented on these sites, and in the end it's just their opinions, opinions! BUT a final rating number on a site of course constitutes a FACT (as much as I might personally disagree with it). And I - SUBJECTIVELY - have great fun rubbing those unpleasant facts into the wounds of salty fanboy bullies, even though they are just numbered opinions. Get it now?
That reminds me how you desperately tried to agitate against the that particular list and the old statistical Bayesian method (!...lol). Only to hilariously turn heel when BP came out, innit? You will never get it!

I don’t think they’ll like it all that much. I think the fans will, though.

lol, thanks for taking the time and going so deep down in my posting history. A few days ago would have sufficed I figured a quick search of the word “Bayesian” in your posting history would return some comedy gold, and I was not disappointed. What, you thought I scrolled through your entire history to find that gem? LOL. Uh, no. And don’t try to backpedal on that whole Bayesian thing now. After all that time and effort you put in! You and DC-Fan own it.
