These are my favorites: North and South North and South, Book II V: The Final Chapter Lace Lace II Napoleon and Josephine: A Love Story Out on a Limb Till We Meet Again A.D. Ellis Island Sins Showing my ignorance of 80s tv but the only one of those I have seen is V: the Final Chapter. All things considered, pretty good. The only problem I had was there was a scene where a human girl actually has intercourse with one of the aliens. How exactly did that work? That whole hybrid baby thing was just odd. But an entertaining series. Better then the more recent V series.

Shogun. A couple of years ago I read the book. Quite a chore to get through, but overall it was very enjoyable and pretty much the same as the miniseries.

For me it was East of Eden 1981, the one with Jane Seymour. I don't think I've seen it since it originally aired, but I remember thinking at the time that it was excellent. I later caught part of the original version from the 1950's featuring James Dean, and not being overly impressed with it, which is rare for me, since I almost never like a remake better than an original. After Brideshead Revisited this would probably be my next favorite. I love the novel, and I appreciate that the mini-series was able to tell most of the whole story, and add back characters that had to be deleted in the film, which only covered the last quarter of the novel (though it did it brilliantly). And wanton, if you haven't seen the whole film version of East of Eden, I suggest you do so before dismissing it. I think it's one of the best Kazan films.I’ll have to devote a viewing to it some time spiderwort, thanks. I’m going to commit a massive movie buff sin here, and admit that I have not seen a full movie featuring James Dean I've committed a few others as well, that I'm not going to admit for the time being
