Mine is Harpo Speaks. A fascinating account of the experiences of Harpo Marx and his brothers. He wrote it in his old age so it tells the story of his entire life. It is mostly funny but also gives vivid descriptions of New York City at the turn of the 20th century as well as life on the vaudeville circuit and in Hollywood, his family and close friends such as Alexander Woolcott, George Burns, Charlie Chaplin, etc. The stories about Woolcott are hilarious. I highly recommend this book to all fans.

Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda I read that when I was 16 or 17. A real page turner. Some of the stories are hard to believe, of course, but even today yogis are able to perform some unbelievable tricks. I would have liked to meet Yogananda.

I have read it twice last time was about 5 years ago. I actually have several books Yogananda wrote. I would also have liked to have met him, and some other people he mentions in the autobiography.

Mary Astor wrote two autobiographies and I read them both years ago, but I remember her being very open and honest about herself and the industry.

The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero. Hands down the funniest book I read in years.

Maiden voyage , by Tania Abei. She was the first American woman and the youngest at the time (18 years old) to sail around the world solo.

Thanks for all the input, everybody.
A few others I have enjoyed:
My Autobiography - Charlie Chaplin (one of my very favorite performers) The Autobiography of Malcolm X (not a character I admire but a fascinating read) The Secret Life of Salvador Dali (quite a troubled soul) Autobiography of a Yogi - Paramahansa Yogananda (mentioned above) The Salad Days - Douglas Fairbanks Jr. (not well written but very interesting stories about Hollywood)

Julian Cope's two biographies on his early music career. "Head On" and "Repossessed" Best music biogs I've ever read and I've read hundreds. The best all round though would be "Aleister Crowley's "Confessions"

I think the only one I've actually read is Michael J. Fox's. It was good, though.
