Now that Daredevil is canceled, unfortunately, I always thought he'd make a good Bruce Wayne. It'd be distracting now probably, but if he wasn't cast as Daredevil, I think he would have made a great Batman. Plus he's still relatively young and can do the early years of Batman if the DCEU producers intend on going that route.

Deadpool to be Green Lantern? Disaster. Cyclops to be Lois Lane’s husband? Disaster. Storm to be Catwoman? Disaster. Silver Surfer to be Perry White, J Jonah Jameson to be Commissioner Gordon, and Daredevil to be Batman? Critical and financial mixed feelings at best.

Charlie Cox is destined to be forever Daredevil. It's too late to cast him as Batman. I think WB may have to cast someone who is unknown. The pool of eligible famous dudes is thinning all the time - most of them have played a character in one superhero movie or another at this point.

Nor will it kill them to play another character.

Are we deliberately trying to mimic the Affkeck casting? Going from one former Daredevil to another.
I suppose Cox is fine at brooding, but he's too small and I can't see him pulling off the playboy persona.

Too small and voice isn't deep and doesn't look like bats. If he joins dc it should be as a villian(he tried out for loki) maybe like riddler or madhatter or trickster

If they want to continue with the Snyder version of Batman but w/o Affleck, I'd suggest Karl Urban but that seems highly unlikely after Dredd 3D bombing made studios think it was Urban's fault. Otherwise, Cox isn't a bad choice. Some other actors that I'd throw out include Josh Hartnett (but when's the last time he's been in something big?); Matt Bomer (assholes will say he's too gay); Zach McGowan (not enough of a household name); and Dan Stevens (who I thought was great in The Guest).
