First they decide to re-sign the worst manager in the history of their Franchise and now they trade away all of their best players to the Reds for basically nobody just to try and get Bryce Harper and absolutely nothing else! .......may the team rest in peace now!

Anthony, you should start liking Dave, because he's gonna be there for awhile.

They did this to free up space against the luxury tax and free up an OF spot for a move on Harper. Kemp and Puig are hardly their best players and they’re both FA after this year, and Bailey has a buyout option. This is a smart move by both teams.

wtf is going on, is it April Fool's already? Maybe they're getting their cues from Mark Shapiro.

The Dodgers have already indicated that they are going to release Bailey, proving that this move is entirely centered around getting further below the luxury tax threshold, moving away from a trio of expensive players who don’t factor into their plans and freeing up a logjam in the OF. Now, OFers Alex Verdugo and Andrew Toles can compete for roster spots out of spring training, plus they can now go after Harper or Machado with more payroll and roster flexibility.
For the Reds, they get three guys who slot right onto their roster and they move on from the albatross that is Homer Bailey.
Again, smart trade for both teams.
