This seems like a wild and eerie plot twist. Can't wait!

I didn't see "Get Out" until it was on video.
I will be first in line for this on/around March 15th.

Already looks better than The Invasion (2007). Anyone remember that pos? C'mon that's not even the same movie "series".
The Invasion is another remake in the Body Snatchers line, from which it shares 80% of the scenes and story.
The 1956 one:
The 1978 one:
The 1993 one (that was set on a military base but is still the same basic story but it's bad):
If you want to watch one, go for the 1978 version with Donal Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum and Leonard Nimoy. The ending is a classic.

I prefer the 1956 version. To each his own but you prefer it for the ending also?
I must admit that the kind of optimism and resolve to solve issues shown in movies from that era is interesting. Same for The thing from another World (1951), they just tackle the issue head on and work together to solve it.

That's part of it. The downbeat endings of movies from the late 60's and that trend with most sci fi from the 70's just gets draining and a bit predictable after a while to me. Toss in the "Oh gosh you thought the hero won but no" that seems to be the ending of EVERY horror movie now (Body Snatchers being horrorish to me) and the 70's ending was almost cliche when I first watched it years after it was released. Not saying 70's version was bad it's a very good movie but I prefer original.
