if Austin hadn't gotten shelved with an injury at survivor series do you think we still get the Mcmahon - Helmsley- storyline? I say no because if Austin isn't shelved with an injury then I see him continuing to feud with Triple H all the way into the Royal Rumble. and I see Rock & Mankind continuing their feud which was also teased at the time Austin was shelved with an injury

Well, Triple H was crediting his success to getting Stone Cold out of the way at the time, which happened because he kept foiling Triple H's plans even though he was the champion(see the build prior to Survivor Series 1999 and Backlash 2000). If Stone Cold wasn't out, then I doubt Triple H would've even managed to come between Vince and Stephanie by marrying her, and Vince may have remained reinstated instead of leaving, while Triple H may not have had as much success as the champion.

It's common knowkledge that the original plan for WM 2000 was Austin vs Big Show in the main event. I'd say Triple H would have got in a feud with The Rock for the semi main or maybe Rock and Sock vs H and Chyna/ Road Dogg/ Mr Ass or a handicap with all of DX.
I'm.not sure about the McMahon-Helmsley stuff. The regime may not have happened quite the same way, but you don't book a storyline romance involving the bosses daughter and not plan to have something screwy happen so far as company ownership is concerned.

Couldn't tell you. Once Austin was shelved I focused on WCW...
Too bad they didn't take advantage of Austin's injury and focus on Goldberg. Instead they had like 5 N.W.O factions with Red Sting and misused Hogan and Goldberg.

Undertaker was also shelved with an injury two months prior to SS having two of their top stars shelved in late 99 (Taker & Austin) didn't really help their creative plans much as they were also planning to have Taker feud with Show instead of Show feuding with Bossman

It's common knowkledge that the original plan for WM 2000 was Austin vs Big Show in the main event. I always thought it would've been best for Austin to be in Show's spot for the 4-way match. As to why Big Show would even be in a WM main event, there's chatter that it was in his contract to jump from WCW. WM 2000 initially received mediocre reviews, I truly think it's one of the most fun of all, helped with TLC, the 4-way, Angle-Benoit-Jericho. It's even nostalgic to be in an NHL/NBA arena for it.
