I have just finished season 3 of Arrow and I noticed there's some kind of cross over episode with Arrow and Constantine in season 4. I also see that Constantine guy is a cast member of Legends now. Do you all think it's necessary to watch that Constantine series, or do you think it's something that I shouldn't even waste my time on? No Arrow spoilers past season 3 please.

It's not super necessary. I watched the Constantine series when it was on and I don't remember half of what happened. It doesn't really get referenced much either.

Not needed for story purposes, as is this maybe a different version of Constantine than the one on his own show, multiverse and all, but if you like Constantine when he turns up in Arrow or Legends then give the show a try as it is his show, but as of now if you don't you wont be lost in trying to follow the plot or anything.

I read that it was an episode about Sarah that crossed over. That's what really got me thinking. But if you guys say it's not necessary, I trust you guys. I have enough superhero shows to watch either way, so I kinda wasn't looking to add another one if it's not totally necessary

Yeah, the story of the TV series Constantine doesn't tie into any of the Arrowverse shows. But you should check it out sometime when you have more free time as it was a criminally underrated show that ended prematurely.

But haven't they started to hint at his past the last few eps of LoT? I guess it could be different from the events of his series, as that was too long ago for me to really remember.

Best bet is to see how you find him in his Arrow appearance of when he starts turning up on Legends, if you really get into the character then the shows worth a watch, it's a pretty easy watch as there's only 13 episodes, but if you don't like him or if you find him just ok then yeah not worth it, now in the future that may change but as of now you don't lose anything in understanding who he is by not watching the show.

His history they allude to in the show isn't anything we saw on his own show, so if it is meant to be the same version of the character then it's events that happen between his show and him popping up in the Arrowverse, or it could be events that happen between his appearance in Arrow and his return in Legends 3 years later.

With the multiverse anything is possible! Like there could be an Earth where Constantine has dark hair and is American!

Thanks guys. Most likely I'm not going to watch it. I'm going to start on Legends probably next week once I"m up to that big crossover episode from 2015. If I really love the character maybe I'll reconsider, who knows

Oh ok I will keep that animated movie in mind. Thanks Deb I hope you enjoy it. DC have so many great animated movies and Beccy and I watched their latest movie, 'Reign of the Supermen' on Foxtel the other night and we enjoyed that movie and are looking forward to seeing more. There is a Wonder Woman movie coming out this year called 'Bloodlines' and one of the people who is in charge of the animated movies said if it is successful they have plans for Batgirl and Supergirl animated movies next and I would love to see them. They also have animated movies coming of 'Batman: Hush', 'The Long Halloween', Superman: Red Son' and Superman: Flyby' which is written by JJ Abrams and was originally meant to be a live action movie.

What’s this you say? Ignore her. You enjoyed the movie. I didn’t say what I thought. Nah. It was okay. A tad childish but what do you expect with superhero movies and what do ya know there was a black hero and his name didn’t have black in it like Black Panther or Black Lightning or Black Adam or Black Manta.
