Both of these movies(which are only two years apart) tell the good ol' fashioned story of a musical young girl living a fantasy lifestyle with her unorthodox friends, and a villainous older woman in power out to get her. Which classic do you prefer?

The Wizard of Oz.
Snow White, like The Wizard of Oz, has a great villain and the dwarfs are fun, but the romantic leads are anaemic. I salute its historical importance, but Disney's best work was ahead of them.

The Wizard of Oz, my #22 all time.
Snow White would definitely make my top 100. It's an exceptional, & groundbreaking, film.

The Wizard of Oz has a better plot, whereas Snow White has a more terrifying villain. It's also a landmark film for Disney and that's not something to be ignored. I'm not sure I have a preference between the two.

Tough call but I actually go with Snow White. The animation is beautiful. Also, the Evil Queen is a magnificent villain. I give them both a 9/10 but just a sentimental edge to S.W. My favorite scene in Oz though is when the Wicked Witch hurls fireballs at the scarecrow near the woodcutter's shed. That's an amazing sequence.

Not sure I can compare animation with live action. Really apples and oranges to me. Both of these movies are extremely well made and historically significant as well as very entertaining.

Snow White. I never tire of it, and the animation for the dwarves is amazing.
