Yeah, this bullshit! WTF? It may be bullshit but it's such a manly moment. As for the politics, hindsight is 20/20. I suspect that young boy given the emerald necklace later blew himself up in a public place or something.

Let's not oversimplify Afghan politics. It's actually quite complicated.

Yay from me, I liked it better than IV, and even II...never understood all the love for that one, I didn't think it was anything special. Rambo: First Blood Part II features the character at its most iconic. Released the same year as the other commie destroying classic Rocky IV, it features our beefy American hero taking the fight to the enemy again. Because if America couldn't win the actual Vietnam war, it could always in the movies. "Sir, we do get to win this time?"
I understand all of that, I just personally didn't think the movie was all that. Didn't care for Rocky IV at all either.

Yeah, this bullshit! WTF? What's the problem? He was cauterizing a wound. It's been done in other movies by other characters.

Apparently cauterizing a wound with gun powder is a real thing and does work, but it only should be used as a last resort and can leave you highly prone to infection.
