IMO, the aforementioned "Retsina" Greek wine should only be used as a mouthwash. It is horrible.

IMO, the aforementioned "Retsina" Greek wine should only be used as a mouthwash. It is horrible. Retsina can be a bit of an acquired taste, but as with any wine there are varietals and variations in quality. The mouthwash ones are usually homemade or the cheap plonk that was originally sent to North America by the Botrys company. However, retsina Kehribari is absolutely delicious. It doesn't "go" with everything and needs to be a little on the colder side. The name retsina comes from the fact that it was aged in pine barrels which oozed pine sap (retsini). IMO Limoncello tastes like furniture polish.
