What year is your Custom? I have a white 88. That's an Orville LP Custom ca 1991. As you may know, Gibson set up Orville in Japan to get around customs. Excellent guitars, much less expensive than Gibsons. Yeah I know about Orvilles, never seen one in person but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Yeah I know about Orvilles, never seen one in person but I've heard nothing but good things about them. Gibson gave Orville the specs for wood, detailing, and pickups. Some say Orvilles are not quite as good as Gibsons. Others think Japanese craftsmanship exceeded that of the US back then. I don't have sufficient experience to say but I can say I really like my Orville.

Yes, but I have to be reasonably certain that I won't be getting an "Acceptable" book that is listed in "Like New" condition.

I used to buy books but never from ebay. I have hundreds of hardbacks and soft covers but now I just use the online library system PINES which most libraries in Georgia are members of. I enter title or author or whatever and select books or graphic novels or if I wanted dvds and cds from any library and it's shipped to the library I choose. Which is less than 10 miles from my house. Then I drop it back off when finished. And it's all FREEEEEEEE!!!!! Fist bump to you, Poelzig. I wish more people would take advantage of their public library system like that--then maybe libraries would be more apt to hold onto their physical media collections, rather than scrapping large amounts of them to make more space for computer terminals, et al. the way they seem to be doing in my state. I've given some very good books a very good home as the result of their largesse, but I still hate seeing too many libraries gutting their stacks in that way. I only buy books from ebay when it's a rare item that I can't find anywhere else. For the most part I find that the average ebay seller way overestimates the worth of their goods, and charges too high a price (or squeezes in an exorbitant shipping and 'handling' charge); generally I can find most of the titles I want to buy for far better prices elsewhere.
