Yes, often. I can usually find exactly what I'm searching for and usually get a good price with free shipping.

No. I've used Abebooks though. My mum uses Abebooks all the time.

Yes, I bought a whole "cozy mystery" series (Hazel Holt) on ebay for a very cheap price, I think it was about 30 books for $30.00. I've also bought several out of print books in the past. I also use Thriftbooks, Abebooks and another place (don't remember the name this morning-I'm old). I also buy out of print books on Amazon and lately I've been pre ordering books from Amazon UK because I don't want to wait until the books are sold in the US. I bought my first Harry Potter book from Amazon UK out of curiosity and I became a big fan.
p.s. I just thought of the other place: Allibris.

I also find just about everything I want to read on Amazon and once in a while, the local thrift store will have at least one book on my wish list for two bucks.

I've bought a dozen or two. No problems. Bear in mind, however, that some sellers are better than others. Look at their ratings.

I'm really strange and like finding particular editions of books, so yes, I buy on eBay quite a bit. I find that the only way to buy the right edition though is if the seller supplies his/her own images. Same goes for Abebooks. While it drastically reduces the amount of "hits" at least I know what I'm getting.

I've bought a few obscure or OOP ones, like Fast Tines at Ridgemont High as well as some Final Destination spinoffs.

I used to buy books but never from ebay. I have hundreds of hardbacks and soft covers but now I just use the online library system PINES which most libraries in Georgia are members of. I enter title or author or whatever and select books or graphic novels or if I wanted dvds and cds from any library and it's shipped to the library I choose. Which is less than 10 miles from my house. Then I drop it back off when finished. And it's all FREEEEEEEE!!!!!

That's an Orville LP Custom ca 1991. As you may know, Gibson set up Orville in Japan to get around customs. Excellent guitars, much less expensive than Gibsons.
