Love the idea, but unfortunately these high-concept plot films usually fall apart (Downsizing was a recent example). Plus you've got all the usual sentimental Richard Curtis trappings to deal with. Might still be a bit of fun, but not setting expectations too high.

This story you've invested all this time in turns out - even in the fictional world of the film - to have not really happened. To me it comes of as the tiredest, most hackneyed, "I couldn't be arsed to think of anything else" cliche imaginable.

If i dig it why should i care it was just a dreme? Some dreams are totally awesome even if they are jist dreams. And maybe there was no better solution than a dream or result of a co cussion etc, but the alternate universe was so interesting it was worth exploring anyway. still excited to see the movie. i dont mind predictability usualy at all if the movie is othewise good. i mean with so many movies being made each day for decades now the audiance is so well trained at guessing where things lead. some movies can still be good movies even though you see where its headed.

Fair enough, glad you can enjoy them. Just a (you might have guessed ) pet peeve of mine. Alternate universe, I could possibly handle, and as i mentioned vague, ambiguous, could have been a dream type stuff, but a basic wake up at the end and "Oh it was just a dream" And yes it is getting harder and harder to be unpredictable these days.
