It's as bad as you say, because the "astrologers" are all proven fakes by virtue of their charts.
You can take any astrologer and see that the "chart" is fixed for acquiring certain members. They prove they are just control freaks ready to make willing followers of the ones they give great charts for, usually the ones born in Spring and Summer, the Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, and Leo are targeted for "following", and why not? They get great readings. The others get "you are thrifty, and won't lose too much today", stuff like that.
It's a common tactic for frauds. In order to make some feel "privileged", others are sacrificed, and in this way the frauds know which ones they have a chance at making their worshipers.

I have been seeing multiple articles indicating that Millennials are leaving religion in droves, but they seem to have embraced astrology.
From sun sign “moods” to zodiac fashion à la Vetements, it’s no secret that astrology is having a moment among millennials. And nowhere does this modern rise of secular spirituality manifest as much as Instagram. Accounts like @astromemequeen and @costarastrology feed us with daily digestible chunks of astrology in the universal language that we all speak: memes. They show us, in jest, which type of fries we’re more inclined to according to our zodiac, or which method we’re more likely to use to shun a pesky ex-flame. But what’s presented to us here in only a few characters is a little more complex than that.
Yes, young people are often attracted to the occult. Eg: Playing with ouija boards are very common at sleepovers.

May as well, at least you can actually see the stars and planets. And I'm guessing it's just as reliable as far as predicting the future and/or having wishes come true. Plus, the chances are less, I think, that astrology would cause someone to initiate a terrorist attack. But I could be wrong.

May as well, at least you can actually see the stars and planets. And I'm guessing it's just as reliable as far as predicting the future and/or having wishes come true. Plus, the chances are less, I think, that astrology would cause someone to initiate a terrorist attack. But I could be wrong. Well, astrologers are cockeyed in what they do and what they preach, both cases. In what they preach, it is the Science of the Universe, of all Physics not only from every planet in our solar system, but every star, every constellation, every asteroid, every comet, everything in the Universe, and that would also include where the person was on Earth at birth, and quite frankly, even a super computer couldn't compute all of that. And in what they do, because the astrologer is nothing more than a control freak who wants worship for his or her lies, and the astrologer who doesn't he or she is lying is mentally retarded to the full extent of the word. The astrologer uses the chart to say good about whom they want, and try black magic on who they secretly hate. It's not rocket science to know this. So, any "terror attack" based on astrology would involve two fanatics, the astrologer and the pawn who believes the astrologer. That is possible. After all, bin Laden had pawns. But the essence of the astrologer is to "divide" those he or she reads for into the ones the astrologer approves of, and the ones who the "pet pawns" can look down upon, and any terroristic threat would be public to those outsiders the astrologer purposely alienates. That makes Astrology a bad risk for a terrorist. That might not stop a terrorist, though.
