Saw it today. Not bad, although it doesn't come close to the first one, which is still one of my top 5 animated films.

I didn't even realize a third installment had come out! I really enjoyed the original, but I should go see the second one to catch up.

Just watched it. So far, this is the only franchise where I’ve seen all the movies at the theatre to date.
I really enjoyed it, though it isn’t quite as strong as the first two were. I just found the whole Light Fury story to be cliche for Toothless to have a girlfriend. It was pretty much what you would expect. I dug the villain, but I still prefer Drago from Part 2.
Kind of strange how most animated films fall under the radar for popular films nowadays. They deserve more recognition, for the most part.

It also sounds like a solid ending that will curtail any watered down continuations. I also love the show Netflix did.

Just not into the tv stuff that DreamWorks puts out that are substandard to their feature films.

No, it's definitely not canon, and the CGI of course isn't as good, but the characters are pretty consistent with the movie. It's fun, check it out if you have nothing else to watch.

I actually have much more to watch, and I haven’t been getting into TV shows as I probably should be. PS I think you’ll ought to like the new movie.

My girlfriend dragged me to this (payback for Roma), not really my thing and I hadn't seen the first two. It was enjoyable enough and some of the visuals were great, to me at least, but I don't watch a lot of animation.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON executed its unoriginal plot in a fun and touching way. The characters were likeable, the jokes were funny and the flying sequences were exciting. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON PART 2 executed its unoriginal plot in a generic yet watchable way. The jokes weren't bad; just unmemorable. However, a certain scene happened halfway through that was dark in a good way (and not inappropriate for kids). It was the start of a new conflict that was complex, because it didn't have an obvious solution and because the characters were driven by their emotions rather than logic. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON PART 3: THE HIDDEN WORLD executes its unoriginal plot in an uninteresting and at times boring way. The new characters (human or not) are bland, the jokes rarely work and America Ferrera's performance continues to be weak. The humans and the dragons saying goodbye is a tearjerking moment and a mature way to end the trilogy... but it's undone a couple of minutes later when they reunite. The narration explaining that the dragons will remain hidden from the world until present day doesn't have the same emotional impact if the main characters of this franchise can visit them anytime they want. 4/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.
