They're tempting fate having an actual trainwreck in the film.

So... is this going to be a maybe less terrible version of The Last Stand then? Maybe Sophie Turner will kill them all, is Disney going to continue this storyline anyway?

That trailer look better than the first one, but what the hell is going on with Mystique makeup...

The Train scene is the most interesting one: who could could them take all as prisoners (legally and by mere execution of the arrest - the how and why so to speak), and that Jean is coming to rescue them...is she?

Lawrence has only signed for three movies as far as I know, and she hates her role (the make up - maybe that's one reason why she looks as she looks). But even I as a Lawrence fan must say: she was neither the best part in the series, nor is her career doing that well. She picked rather weak projects, and non of them was a hit: neither in terms of critical acclaim, nor at the box office. She could need a boost. The other main chars actors do much better and no longer need the franchise...but maybe some like what they are doing. And Logan proved that you can make an X-Men movie with critical acclaim. If it is making good money, they might try to milk the cow further and get enough main chars to agree on more movies. But the trailer (she was a friend) indicates that Lawrence is out either way. Maybe they focus more an a single character like in Logan, than making an ensemble film again. Quicksilver, Magneto or even Psylocke - this three have anyway some business with beach other. Psylocke with Magneto for betraying their team, Quicksilver with his father.

We have been getting X Men movies non stop for twenty years. Time to give these characters a rest! I hope Dizney waits at least a few years before milking this cow again.

Psylocke with Magneto for betraying their team, Quicksilver with his father. Lawrence is on the way out I'm sure, her performance in Apocalypse was hardly anything to praise as we all know. I like the character though, probably more from nostalgia than anything else but there it is, would prefer a cast change if anything, keep them in the blue paint and can be less obvious.
I think the problem is less the actors than that Disney may want to start fresh. With their acquiring the X-Men property they may want to end this storyline and start their own, merge them in with their Avengers films, would give them new places to go after Endgame.

I think it can only be an improvement after the last in the series.
Disney acquired the rights to X-Men? I imagine they would do a fairly severe reboot to integrate them into the MCU.

This trailer has me excited for the film, unlike the first trailer.

This trailer has me excited for the film, unlike the first trailer. Yep, this 2nd trailer is awesome. Dark Phoenix is my most anticipated superhero movie of 2019.
