...was just the embodiment of the Phoenix Force that only Jean could see. Just saw that as a theory and I thought I'd share.

She’s probably an original character based on a pre-existing character like X-24 was.

I've seen those theories after the trailer, that she is playing a fragment of the Phoenix force itself and wants Jean to "unify" the force as a whole. Its an interesting idea, not sure what i feel about it. Depends how it plays out

Depends how it plays out If it's played from the beginning as her being an Aspect of Jean's Powers/Mind/Phoenix Force then I think I'd have less problems with it. If it's played like she's a character and in the end she was just the Phoenix Force the whole time like a M. Night twist then I'd have a problem.

Yeah, the whole Tyler Durden theory. We'll see I guess. Though, isn't there a scene in the trailer where Jessica Chastain's character is standing alone overlooking an area, with Jean nowhere around?

It being a separate Entity or an aspect of her Sub Conscious both work as they could act independently of her Conscious mind. Hell with the Telekinetic aspect the Projection could even interact with the world.

Wasn't she supposed to be Lilandra of the Shiar? If so then she wouldn't want Jean to "embrace" the Phoenix power. On the contrary, Lilandra led the most aggressive effort to kill Jean and stop the Phoenix force.
They said this was supposed to be a more faithful version of the Dark Phoenix Saga. It doesn't seem to be turning out that way at all!
p.s. Now she's listed as "Smith" (on IMDB), whatever that is... Maybe she's the agent from the Matrix. lol. Whatever.

If they do go this route I hope to god it's not the M. Night/Tyler Durden twisty execution of it.
