Okey-dokey, yet another Salzmank INTK request… I’ve tried whatismymovie.com and a few other sites, so far to no avail, unfortunately. Any help is greatly appreciated. It’s a kids’ movie, late ’90s or early 2000s, probably, about angels and heaven, that sort of thing. Despite the theme, I don’t think it was a “religious movie”; it wasn’t trying to proselytize, anyway, I don’t think. For some reason I associate it with The Indian in the Cupboard (’95). The plot centered on a kid and an old man. The old man had unfinished business on earth and couldn’t become an angel (I think…), so he’s sent back to earth to—help people? No idea. I think the end has him reincarnated as a baby. I know, really weird. Crucially, there are no scenes after he’s reincarnated; it ends with him being reincarnated as a baby. There are a lot of scenes in either Heaven or Purgatory, as angels debate what to do with the old man. At the end he crosses through a door to be reincarnated as the baby. Its heaven is somewhat goofy, and there may be similarities to Toothless (1997). It might have been set in New York; I think in one scene he and someone else (maybe the kid?) were walking around Central Park. I can’t be sure, but I don’t think it’s a Christmas movie. Perhaps needless to say, but it’s definitely not It’s a Wonderful Life. Thanks, everyone! Movies that have been proposed and ruled out [updated Mar. 11, 2018] It Came Upon a Midnight Clear (1984) Made in Heaven (1987) Chances Are (1989) Heart and Souls (1993) Angels in the Outfield (1994) Angels in the Attic (1998) The Kid with the Broken Halo (1983) Heaven Sent (1994) One Magic Christmas (1985) SOLVED 4/9/19 by u/Bilbo_Sackins000 (on Reddit): Delivering Milo (2001).

Yeah that doesn't ring a bell at all. Your list actually made me realize how many angelic themed movies were made in that era. Like it was their version of the current zombie trend.

I don’t think it’s either of them, RiP, IMDb , but Heaven Sent sounds a bit closer to what I remember. The title might have had heaven in it.

Hi Salzmank - I am pretty sure the movie you are thinking of is the 1985 gem ONE MAGIC CHRISTMAS - starring Harry Dean Stanton and Mary Steenburgen .

Now this is a funny scenario, jeffersoncody, because I know I have seen One Magic Christmas—but I’m equally sure it’s not the one I’m thinking of. I hope my summary (and memory) isn’t conflating the two, but I don’t think so… Thanks, though!

Someone on another site found it: Delivering Milo (2001), with Albert Finney and Bridget Fonda, of all people.
That somewhat convinced me I’m not crazy despite all these INTKs. Thanks for searching, everyone!

NalkarjYour INTK's are not of the "I saw a movie with a man and a woman .. what is the title ? "variety On occasion they make for searches that extend from board to board and yet are still live horses.

On occasion they make for searches that extend from board to board and yet are still live horses. I hope not! Though it seems, at this point, that ye olde infamous singer is more of an undead horse than a live one…
