This episode was more confounding than anything else.
How the hell is Mia Felicity's daughter, but Roy and especially Dinah don't know she even exists? By all accounts Felicity raised her, at least according to Mia; so it's not like Felicity goes into hiding before showing, gives up the baby to protect her and returns without anyone the wiser.
I'm also a little creeped out by how much Oliver's daughter appears to be dressed in some fashion similar to Black Canary in the comics. The rolled up leather jacket, I think she's wearing the fingerless gloves, and even the curly blonde hair; she's very hot, and it all very much makes her look very much like Black Canary - more so than any of the other contenders, save for Caity Lotz; and even then, she's giving Caity a run for her money. It makes me wonder if their plan is to have her be Black Canary in the future, but that's what creepy when you consider the relationship Oliver Queen...
And what's this bullshit now of "Connor" telling the crew that John Diggle was his adopted father? Last time around, during the future events seen on Legends, Connor Hawk - played by this very same actor - was revealed to be John Diggle's son, John Diggle Jr.; and then they went to the trouble of having Barry fucking change history resulting in the existence of said John Diggle Jr.! So who the fuck is this guy and what the fuck in going on with this stupid flash forward???
God Oliver as law abiding Green Arrow is obnoxious. He's acting like he hasn't spent the last 6 years running around as a vigilante; to say nothing of the previous 5 years of whatever the hell that shit was.
Speaking of Oliver's alleged 5 years of training; a) at what point did Oliver actually hone his knife throwing ability, that he's giving pointers to his sister; and b) how the hell is Emiko this well trained if her mother was only killed a year ago? I know they had Malcolm train Thea over the summer, which was some bullshit too, but come on. Also, to paraphrase the Joker, where does she get those wonderful toys? They made it a point that, unlike Oliver, Emiko grew up without any of the financial benefit of her father being a billionaire. It's always been dubious how Oliver's supported his "mission" after losing his fortune, especially now that he's not even mayor (is the the Star City PD paying him now?) but this seems even more ludicrous.
My theory, Felicity is actually going to lose this baby; and Mia is either some future daughter - or, she's lying about being Felicity's daughter all together.
Also, Oliver tried contacting William early in the episode, but then William says he went to his grandparents and never heard from Oliver again. So I'm thinking something's going on where Oliver and William are being intentionally kept from communicating, possibly by William's grandparents or by someone else. This further makes me think that something will lead to the flash forward timeline being undone, because why set something like that up if that's going to be the final word? That would just be stupid.... which isn't outside the realm of possibility....
I really, really wanted Felicity to say, "I'm pregnant" and for Oliver to respond, "I got a vasectomy".
