I've had it too many times to count. If you think you may have gotten it, get to a dr so you can get started on antibiotics right away.

Haven’t had it in a while. I never go to the doctor when it occurs, I just wait for it to go away on its own.

i am scared i might contract it because some girl in my class had it. Unless you made out with her you should be alright. Also people who say they've had Strep Throat often haven't. Strep is pretty serious.

The theory that Strep Throat is caused by bacteria is total and utter bunk ! Strep throat is the result of posting pointless questions on a public forum.

@cheetahcandy
You know about getting a SHINGLES vaccine … right ?
If you have not done so yet … get one even if you have to PAY for it. SHINGLES is one of the worst things you can get that won't actually KILL YOU! Been there ! Done that !
It's an aftermath of having had chicken pox at any age !

I had it frequently as a child, my mother was very prone to it and of course, I was exposed just by daily contact with her.
As an adult, I had it once or twice, but the appropriate antibiotics did their job, and I haven't gotten it since. Because I was immune-suppressed during chemotherapy, I learned how to lessen exposure to pathogens.
