Yes, especially if they're like the one in Eyes Wide Shut.

Remember when Marie told King Louis it was a costume ball but it wasn't really and he showed up in a giant bird costume?

It would have been good to masquerade this.

ant-mac , here's an alternate trailer for The Masque of Mandragora: I think it's managed to age quite well.

I think it's managed to age quite well. IMO, apart from "Talons of Weng Chiang", "Masque of Mandragora" has best production value of the entire Hinchcliffe/Holmes era.

I think it's managed to age quite well. IMO, apart from "Talons of Weng Chiang", "Masque of Mandragora" has best production value of the entire Hinchcliffe/Holmes era. You could have a point there. It might not be one of the more prominent examples from that era, but it still has so much to recommend it. In many ways, the story itself is a bit of a "masquerade" if you think about it. By episode four, it has transformed into a different story from what it was in episode one. Almost as if it removed its mask to reveal its true self.

And so does this article: I would gladly re-watch THE ANDROID INVASION and THE MASQUE OF MANDRAGORA back-to-back a dozen times in a row before I could be bothered watching an offering from New Who.
