Wes Craven was a great Director and writer FridayOnElmStreet and I loved a lot of his movies too and while there are a few of his old ones I have yet to see I have seen the majority of them and some of my favourites he wrote, directed and produced are
1) A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (Some people forget to count this so you aren't alone but he actually wrote and produced it) 2) New Nightmare 3) Scream 2 4) Wishmaster (Have you seen this one? I would say it was one of the most underrated Horror films of the 90s) 5) A Nightmare On Elm Street 6) Shocker 7) Red Eye 8) Scream 9) The People Under the Stairs 10) Cursed 11) Dracula 2000 12) The Hills Have Eyes 13) Swamp Thing 14) Scream 4 15) Music of the Heart 16) The Last House on the Left 17) The Serpent and the Rainbow 18) Pulse 19) Scream 3 20) Deadly Blessing

Frank "Shawshank" Darabont came in and heavily rewrote it.

I just remember seeing his name on the script and knowing he was the producer so I was counting it as one of his. I also heard Wes Craven was originally going to write the script for 'A Nightmare On Elm Street 6' and he had plans to bring back all the characters from the previous movies including the dead ones as ghosts and I wish we had gotten that one now instead of 'Freddy's Dead' 'cause it most likely would have continued with Alice as lead and probably would have had Jesse and Lisa return too who were never seen or heard of again after 2.

Yeah I seen it a few times. I really like it. I didnt count it because It was not directed by Craven. Fair enough. I like it too and I hope it comes back again. Robert Englund called it one of the most underrated Horror movies of all time and Andrew Divoff recently said he wants to return and make another one. Apparently 'Wishmaster 3' was originally going to be based on a script Andrew wrote but the studio told him it was too expensive to make 'cause it had planes crashing, flying gargoyles and people getting killed by monsters everywhere and I would have liked to have seen that. Another two movies I didn't mind that had Wes Craven's name on them were 'Don't Look Down' and 'Carnival of Souls' and both came out here in the late 90s and I remember getting them at Video Ezy.

That script is online, however it wasn't Craven's (and I don't think he was ever involved with Freddy's Dead, although Peter Jackson was approached and then rejected). IIRC, Alice is in it but dies early on and the rest of the movie follows a teen Jacob. The ghosts of Taryn, Joey, and Kincaid are in it as "Dream Police". That's it for returning characters, no Jesse and Meryl Streep. The deaths are weak, but otherwise it's a lot better than what we got.

Thanks for letting me know. It is disappointing Alice dies early 'cause I have always wanted to see another 'Nightmare On Elm Street' movie with Alice returning as the lead and I still think it is possible to do it now since Lisa Wilcox has been saying for years she would love to play Alice again and unless they put it on hold again after 'The Conjuring 3' it sounds like the next 'Nightmare On Elm Street' is going to have Robert England returning to play Freddy Kreuger one last time and it would be a great way to end the original franchise in my opinion by bringing back the one person Freddy couldn't beat. I am surprised out of all the ghosts they were going to have return they weren't getting Tuesday Knight back to play Kristin since she was in both 'A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 (played by Patricia Arquette) and 4 and was a popular character in the franchise. I wonder if that might have had something to do with the rumours Tuesday was difficult to work with back then.
