I never enjoyed heights or being tossed around violently, so I enjoyed the quaint ride that simply consisted of being in the driver's seat of a car on rails that took one on a gentle tour through a nature setting around the park.

I don't enjoy roller coasters in general very much anymore but when I did, the best was probably Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. Launch and drop towers have been fun too. But at this point I am not excited by anything unless it has a launch or a 200 foot drop.

The Avatar ride at Disney Animal Kingdom in Orlando. It was a two+ hour wait but well worth it.

1990-2010 Canada's Wonderland
I saw it was relocated to another park, I can't find where at the moment.

Using gbone 's division but adding to it: Thrill: tied between Space Mountain and Star Tours (both Disneyland) Enjoyment (indoors): Haunted Mansion (DL) Enjoyment (outdoors): Jungle Cruise/Rivers of the World (DL) Why yes, I have visited Disneyland a few times...why do you ask? ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/vdndyf3x5/winkgrin.gif)

This was not an amusement park but it was a very neat ride. It was up by Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. As you were going what seemed like snowy mountains you got cold. And as you were going in the desert you got hot and as you were going into waterfalls you actually got wet. Very fun ride.

I never liked the kiddie roller coasters, and so, I refuse to go on the big ones... I was also on some ride once that was like a high speed merry go round with cars attached to it, which I HATED. When the ride operator asked if we wanted to go faster, I screamed "NO!" and honestly wanted him to stop the ride. But, we went faster, anyway. I was almost scared to death. I was so relieved when it was over. I will never ride anything like that again!
For the most part, I really only like: The regular Merry Go Rounds... Bumper Cars... & Ferris Wheels. I just don't like feeling as though I am going to be launched to my death into the next county.
However, there is one ride I do like...
The "Starship" ride at the State Fair:

Are amusement parks actually amusing? They are not. There is Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls at Islands of Adventure. It's a log flume where there's comedic signs throughout the ride.

I grew up pretty close to Houston's Astroworld and got season tickets just about every year once I was tall enough to ride all of the rides. My favorites were the Texas Cyclone and the Excalibur. The Excalibur had one aggressive turn that was so low to the ground that if you were in the right hand side of one of the cars, you could reach out and grab some pampas grass that was growing next to the track. Sad that the park was torn down. It started going downhill once Six Flags got a hold of it though. Edit: I actually found a picture of the turn described above. In the photo though the pampas grass is missing, it was mowed down occassionally... ![](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/b7/85/bf/b785bfb21352ff717c01b2f75f45fae6--houston-astros-houston-texas.jpg) ![](https://asq.org/training/internal-auditing-basics-iab01jpr)
