To begin, that Big Bang Theory Girl.......God.......she is flat when it comes to Harley. There's just nothing.
Now back to the ummmm rape scene, it may or may not happen, but it's definitely alluding to it. And I suppose it's meant to be taken as a joke since it's nightwing and Harley is kind of hot, but Timm needs like a Dini or someone to reign him back.

I own all of Batman: The Animated Series on DVD and this movie looks decent to me. I'm currently not planning to buy it, but I'm interested in learning more about it.

I guessing it will go like this: Harley: You know you want this since you were a kid, bird boy! Don't deny it. Nightwing: Yeah...I kinda do.

I imagine Nightwing is probably going to enjoy it, because he's a guy in a story overseen by Bruce Timm... I don't even want to harp on Bruce Timm so much since I'm sure he's an okay guy in real life, and I did genuinely love 'Mask of the Phantasm', but the guy has a nasty habit of inserting his own personal fetishes into anything he's involved with.

Being attracted to someone doesn't necessarily mean you'd be okay with them forcing themselves on you though. To be fair to the movie though, we don't really know the context of that scene yet. On another note, I really wish DC would stop milking Harley Quinn. I get that its inevitable, given that she's currently their best selling character outside of Batman (the number of people who dressed as her for Halloween are a testament to that), but I just don't find her to be an appealing character. I don't watch or read Batman stories so that I can see a quirky and sexualized character (and yes, Harley was sexualized before the days of the New 52 and the DCEU) who has a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome for the Joker of all people.

If you're male and single, I don't see why you wouldn't welcome the advances. XD I seriously believe that Bruce Timm saw all Rule34 of Harley and Nightwing, then decided to make it canon. Harely is basically DC's Deadpool at this point.

This is a thing? I thought they learned better after The Killing Joke.

It's a Robin joke. Robin gets tied up a lot. Especially in the Adam West show. Notice he talks about breaking the 4th wall right before that clip.

They could've done without the sexual implications though.

Good God that was a terrible movie. I was so excited that it was going to have the same animation style and some of the same voice cast as the excellent animated series. But then I saw it and boy, was it horrendous. Just a badly written mess with really lame jokes and stupid decisions.
