These kinds of anthology series rarely work. They only succeed in making me appreciate the original Twilight Zone more, if possible.
As much as I admire the original Twilight Zone, I have yet to purchase the series on dvd or blu ray. That's something I need to remedy.

It's available on Netflix streaming, EXCEPT for the fourth-season aka the hour-long episodes season.

I'm taking a pass on this one as I did for the 2002 one. The 1985 one has some good episodes but CAN'T compare to 1959.

I've seen a few of the Outer Limits, which I think was on Showtime or HBO. Not the original series. It was ok but nothing special. I remember another one The Ray Bradbury Theater I purchased several years ago and that was really disappointing because I am such a fan of Bradbury.

I've seen ONLY a couple of 'The Ray Bradbury Theater' (thought it was fairly decent, BUT NOTHING compared to the original 'TTZ' or original 'TOL'). And just like the REHASHES of 'TTZ' DON'T come CLOSE to the original...NEITHER does the RETREAD of 'TOL'.

The 2002 series is underrated and forgotten. It only lasted one season. It's biggest problem is it favored style over substance and was too much focused on casting celebrities (e.g. Jessica Simpson, Usher, etc.) but it had some solid episodes, and Forest Whittaker was a good, creepy host.
Check out the episodes "One Night at Mercy", "Cradle of Darkness", "The Monsters Are on Maple Street", "It's Still a Good Life", "How Much Do You Love Your Kid?", and "Sunrise" from the 2002 series.
