Yeah it's got Aladdin next week, then Godzilla then X-Men.
The weekend estimate is $27.7 million, earlier it was $30 million. That's about $2 million off from Infinity War's fourth weekend.
So at that rate it would make $847 million in US. China will quite down a lot next week, probably under a $1 million per day.
I'd expect around $2.62 billion or something by Sunday.

It's funny. I've seen it my normal 2 times. (I see most superhero flicks twice) A lot of my normal crowd didn't want to see it the second time especially the women and teenagers. They were bummed out by Ironman's fate.

They were bummed out by Ironman's fate. lols because it was soo unexpected?? The Women and the kids are more casuals than anything. They see all the movies but thats about it. They don't follow the business side or knew that RDJ and Chris were done. They may had an Idea that it was going to happen, but RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth for the adult ladies and Tom Holland for the Teenagers were the big draws for them. My Niece who is 15 wept like a child when Spidey died in IW. My 48 year old sis bawled when Ironman Died. like hitching crying not just a tear down the cheek. The others that didn't want to see it a second time were somewhere on the spectrum of depressed that Ironman died. And just didn't want to relive it.

The movie is now at $2.615 billion worldwide.
It need another $173 million to pass Avatar. At this rate it might make another $70-80 million in US so it's going to need another $100 million overseas...
I don't know if it's going to do it or its gonna get close enough that they'll try and find a way to push it over.
In fact if it's only going to pass Avatar by a few million then I'd rather it not pass it at all. Jurassic Park, Titanic, Avatar all became #1 by a massive margin. If this just trickles past it then it's not going to be the same.

It made $3.16 million on Monday which was more than Infinity War at the same point. So that's gone and reversed now.
Worldwide it's at $2.625 billion so it made $8-9 million worldwide on Monday.
Still needs another $163 million though to pass Avatar. It made $128 million from the 12th to the 19th if it dropped by 50% each week then it'd finish with $2.743 billion.

I can't remember where I read it but I've read that it's got 140-180m left in it totally. So yeah it has a chance not to beat Avatar.

Turns out Monday was some kind of holiday? Because on Tuesday it actually dropped but it's still running alongside Infinity War.
Worldwide it's at $2.63 billion.

Monday was Victoria Day in Canada, I can't imagine the bump came from Canada alone. Fans will carry it across the finish line, that was my assumption when I predicted its final grosses. It was assumed due to contracts that this would be the last chance to see some of these heroes on the big screen so I figured it would just approach the records but fans would keep it going long enough to surpass them with little bigtime competition in the basic genre as far as I could tell. I might have been too optimistic on the domestic, but we'll see as I suspect it will still have dollars trickling in most of the summer from the cheapo venues in part because of the reasons above. Cap and IM are the most American of the originals and this will be the last chance.

It still needs about 165 million to pass Avatar, and if it ends with 850 domestically, which will be hard now, it would still need another 90 million or so overseas. Is that really possible at this point?

The doubts are starting to kick in huh? I think the overseas figure might be updated today, it's gotta be around $2.64 billion or something.
Box Office Mojo are predicting another $22 million domestically for the 4 day as well so enough to push it past $800 million. That's the exact same as Infinity War.

It's at $2.65 billion now. Should be at $2.69 by Monday or something.
Should have another $40-50 million left in it domestically so it's probably looking like it'll pass Avatar again.

Up to $2.677 billion. So it's added another $61 million worldwide in the past week.
Still needs another $111 million though to pass Avatar. It looks like it only added $15 million over the weekend internationally.
That's a big drop because it did $47 million last weekend. That kind of thing will make it a struggle to pass Avatar.
