Always loved Mark Hamill. He has always been a class act.

I never got the hate for the prequels. Criticism, yes, as with any other movie. Midi-chlorians were unncessary, Jar Jar Binks was annoying, no one cares about trade feuds or senate deliberations as much as George Lucas, etc. But the unrelenting hatred was just bizarre to me.

He isn't defending the prequels. He is defending Jake Lloyd and to some extent George Lucas. I'm pretty certain Hamill sees them for the terrible films that they are, but obviously he will never come right out and say that.

He's defending Jake Lloyd more than anything. Not really defending the prequels. The headline is crap.
Plus, this is old news....

I'm pretty certain Hamill loves the Prequels and sees the Disney films for the terrible films that they really are, but obviously he will never come right out and say that. Fixed.

Mark Hamill is 100% correct in everything he said.
Sure the Prequels are not as good as the originals. But honestly they are not as bad as many claim them to be.

The quote from the director in that article regarding Luke and Rey just affirms my commitment to avoid this film. Kudos to Hamill for defending the PT, but Rey is an awful character, I wont sit through another film that thrusts her importance to the SW Universe all over the plot.

I'm not sure why it's starting to recirculate but his words are plain. It isn't so much Mark was defending the prequels but Lloyd who was a boy when they made Episode 1. He can hardly be held responsible for anything. He also defends George Lucas who he's known for decades and wouldn't want to insult/hurt in anyway.

I take you at your trusty fallacy, Seto. I am sure Hamill will happily confirm how much he sees the Star wars universe through your eyes only, and how shy he is - and always had been - on speaking his mind. Until then, why don't you go home and re-watch one of your trashy throw-away cartoons that give you and your avatar so much credibility.

He does say he doesn't understand people's behavior toward the prequels who have those sentiments. Besides, Mark Hamill's son played one of the Naboo soldiers in TPM. I'm sure that never would've happened if he thought that they were "terrible films".

He also, perhaps in a different interview, expressed negativity about The Force Awakens -- that the moment Luke's (check that, Anakin's) sabre flew into Rey's hands was the last straw: "wait, Rey catches it?!" Hamill, if anything, knows these Disney Wars movies are shit but isn't about to turn down the best paycheck he's gotten since 1983.

Haha Well I'm just assuming thats his opinion based on numerous interviews he has done where he expresses great taste in movies. However I can't recollect he has ever given definitive thoughts on the prequels. Probably because as he says in this very interview, he would never say anything to upset George Lucas. By the way, do even know what T.V show my avatar is from?? Or are you just assuming?
