The woman who is probably a fire wight? I would expect her to play an important part. What do you guys think?

The Fool in the North banned her. That is true. But she had hinted that she would die in the strange alien land of Westeros in her last scene so I am expecting her. Although trailers do not give any hint of her return.

The black queen chants the funeral march, The cracked brass bells will ring; To summon back the fire witch To the court of the crimson king.
Make of that what you will

Make of that what you will I love that song.
Have you seen Black Death (2010)? Not historically accurate but nonetheless an entertaining movie starring Carice van Houten, Sean Bean and the talented Eddie Redmayne.

What makes you think she's a fire wight? She's a priestess of R'Hllor like Thoros of Myr was a priest of R'Hllor.
I certainly haven't forgotten her; I don't think they have either, she was mentioned in the last episode when Arya went to Gendry.

I saw Black Death once. Didn't remember Carice van Houten in it. Probably because she was blonde:

The wall on which the prophets wrote Is cracking at the seams Upon the instruments of death The sunlight brightly gleams When every man is torn apart With nightmares and with dreams, Will no one lay the laurel wreath When silence drowns the screams
Confusion will be my epitaph As I crawl a cracked and broken path If we make it we can all sit back and laugh, But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying…

To be honest I used "fire wight" rather lightly although there was a theory put forward to make a case for that claim. The people who advanced that theory said that fire wights may have the power to create other fire wights. For example, Beric Dondarrion, a fire wight, resurrected Lady Stoneheart, another fire wight through the last kiss of R'hllor. So possibly because she is a fire wight she created another fire wight - Jon. It is said that wights lose their physical beauty after each time they are resurrected. Meli's original form is rather frightening and she is too old according to the current average age of people of that world. Yeah, not a very strong theory but a theory nonetheless.

Ah, OK.
I suppose she could be both a powerful priestess and had been raised from the dead, but I'd guess she wouldn't have to ask Jon about what he 'saw' when he was dead.
In any case I definitely want to see her again.
And interrogated.

I assume we'll see her in King's Landing part of the season. There's a religion vacuum in the area since Cersei blew up the last one.
I do not think she will disappear from the story or else they would have killed her.

I think you're right, she mentioned something about the former in her first appearance last season and I don't think it a coincidence she was mentioned last episode and there was a little girl reminiscent of Shireen in that episode as well.

The Fool in the North banned her. She's lucky that's all he did. She destroyed House Baratheon and abandoned Stannis. She can go die!
