Chadwick Boseman plays an NYPD officer investigating a robbery gone wrong that left several policemen dead. The title is derived from his character's suggestion that they shut down access beyond any exits or entrances into Manhatten. Thus leaving the city closed off for the manhunt to go underway. Shootouts! Conspiracies! Excitement? 21 Bridges hits theaters on July 12. The film also stars J.K. Simmons, Taylor Kitsch, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, and Keith David. collider.com/21-bridges-trailer-chadwick-boseman/

They've directed crappy movies that have contrived writing and huge plotholes.

Well that is not the opinion of the majority of movie goers and professional film critics or of fans of genre filmmaking, and when your last three movies have grossed over a billion worldwide of course they're going to be mentioned in the advertising for the next movie they are associated with.

Solid. A basic cop thriller that sits right in the middle of the genre. More suited for TNT/Netflix than a wide release.

I feel like there arent enough police action movies these days, and the more violence the better. I did feel a little guilty watching it too tho. Liked seeing boseman speaking in a non African accent. He wasnt that bad.

Because the Avengers movies are crappy movies and serious Directors like Martin Scorsese didn't want to direct crap like the Avengers movies.

@rascallion I was thinking about that too. It’s not quite like in the 90s when you’d see stuff like The Negotiator or Cop Land or Ricochet and Striking Distance. Perhaps it’s because there’s so many police procedurals on television these days, that people figure they’d rather stay home?

I think its because the marvel and comic book movies have taken the spotlight for action. There also hasnt been enough kung fu.

He wouldn't direct one probably, they never proposed one. The did propose Joker and he said pass, he knows better
