Entering the world of microbudget cinema, sometimes referred to as microcinema, can be a daunting task for any horror fan. Two of the premiere exponents of this form are Steve Sessions and Creep Creepersin. Sessions is based down in Biloxi, Mississippi, while Creepersin lives out west in California. You can shoot entire, feature-length films with a tiny, hand-held camera so horror movies are regularly being shot with shooting budgets ranging anywhere between $500 and $10,000. Great challenges come with capture, distribution and generating profit.
"When talking about microcinema it's important to realize it's not just the budgets that are micro or non-existent, but the financial return. Therefore you'd think posting a movie to the web would be all the more devastating. You'd have to ask a distributor like Brain Damage Films how much this affects them. But to the filmmakers and enthusiasts who've been trading movies amongst themselves since back in the days of VHS, file sharing was kinda the point.
The microcinema scene had been about making stuff outside the system and getting it seen by aficionados of that scene. Making money back usually wasn't the motivation. I could get a lot of flak for this, but we're really talking about fan films, only it's original source material. I think that puts them in perspective a little. Oh, and by the way, I hate fan films because I figure, why not just do your own thing? But there are a lot of similarities in motivations. It's about the love of it, and getting it to others who are into it, not trying to market it to the masses and rake in huge profits."

"Awesome Girl Gang Street Fighter and Alien Babes in Heat are in post right now, and over the next few weeks I’m doing, Paranormal Ghost Hunters: Bam the Ghost which is a horror/comedy/mockumentrey. Then the Exploitation horror film Gritty and then off to the Slasher comedy Fork You. Then I’ll take a couple weeks off and get back to it. I have a very busy summer and fall."
