I don't know which character, but to avoid the typical beat-to-beat origin story tropes, I think the best way origin films for new characters should be done is through someone else's movie (not their main one, but a sequel) or an event film like the Avengers. It's why T'Challah was such an interesting and compelling character in Civil War (moreso than his own film). CW is essentially Black Panther's origin and he has a story to work with in regards to the Avengers rather than create a whole new story just about T'Challah and how he becomes King. Even Age of Ultron is Scarlett Witch's origin film with just a brief exposition to tell her and her's brother backstory. They didn't require their own film and it fit fine in regards to the story for AoU. Even in the Daredevil series, the show itself acts an origin story for the Punisher in season 2 and it's why he's honestly more interesting and compelling to watch in that show than his own. Personally for me, I would still like to see Ghost Rider in the movies and something like Johnny Blaze (I know he's in the AoS, but the MCU never really acknowledge them anyways) selling his soul to Mephisto to get a loved one back who didn't survive Thanos's snap. But I think there are a lot of characters that could have been introduced who could have benefited from the Thanos snap plot point.

And, yes, that is the Infinity Gauntlet he's wearing...

I'm glad they didn't introduce a new character. Makes Endgame feel much more like an ending, rather than a setup.

I half expected Kang to show up as a surprise villain.
