I see Shriek if You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th mentioned several times here.
Do people actually like it, or is more just listing another example on this topic?
I tried watching it but never made it through. I found it to be really badly done and amateurish... but not in a fun way. Just in a 'they don't know how to make a movie' kinda way. If people genuinely think it's good I'd consider giving it another chance, but I'm pretty surprised that anybody would call it their favorite horror movie parody.

"I'm not even a bat anymore. I'm a black chicken." Great, great movie. Several classic lines: "I am not a honkie. I am Romanian." "10 dollars. Get your 10 dollar flashlights!" "I'm a cop." "Two dollars. Get your two dollar flashlights!" "Don't we have time for, you know, a little quickie?" "With you it's never a quickie. It's always a longie." Haven't seen this movie in forever but can still quote most of it verbatim.

Anyhoo, for me it's Cabin in the Woods because it pokes fun at the horror audience.
