Kevin Costner has become one of our most reliable and well liked movie stars. He has already cemented his place in movie history with movies like Dances With Wolves, Field of Dreams, The Bodyguard and JFK. He has worked steadily and since he first appeared on screens and is an everyman that audiences can relate to. Here he is in a recent interview discussing some of his most famous roles:

I don't mind Kevin Costner, but what's he gonna do now when he is older? I did like his ambitious Dances with Wolves, and Field of Dreams and JFK. Not so much The Bodyguard, it felt like a mega long music video, too many clichΓ©s pretending to be slick, but that's me. Many actors never reached that part in their life when their name could have had value on poster, in interesting supporting parts, like Alan Ladd, Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Steve McQueen, Errol Flynn, Gary Cooper they fell off too early. And Kevin, unless he is short of money, and reached that age, should make movies that is exclusive, and not be all over the place. "The Old Legend returns" kind of movies now. Sorry for pesting your post! He may be making up for early in his career when he couldn't catch a break or got cut out of movies like The Big Chill. Someone has to play the wise old guys, Redford and Duvall won't always be with us, Costner will have to step up.

One of my favorites. He's great on Yellowstone (2018-present).

I like his late '80s to very early '00s output, even his two disaster films, Waterworld and the Postman.
Just thinking out loud, my favorites are:
The Untouchables JFK Thirteen Days Open Range Field of Dreams 3000 Miles to Graceland Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Never saw the Bodyguard or Dances with Wolves, two of his biggest hits.
Eventually I'll get around to seeing A Perfect World.
My wife and I are watching the Highwaymen on Netflix (off and on), it's pretty good so far.

'kevin's gate'
I thought the backlash against Costner after Waterworld was unfair. Sure it was an extravagant fiasco that reeked of Costner's vanity, but it manages to convince in portraying a world submerged under water and survives as an enjoyable popcorn adventure.
Seen most of his movies and overall he just doesn't appeal to me, 'though I don't mind these titles..
fandango (1985) no way out (1987)* bull durham (1988) field of dreams (1989) dances with wolves (1990) waterworld (1995) tin cup (1996) thirteen days (2000) open range (2003)
