The comment section for Bloody Disgusting's article on this mentions a female Pinhead several times.
Anyone know if that's true or just a rumor for this reboot?

Well, it can’t get any worse with the later sequels, so here’s hoping it’ll be better than those. 🤞🙏

I didn't even like the original that much. Seem to remember being slightly more entertained by the sequel but had no appetite to watch any beyond that. I just found the whole concept somewhat aloof and uninteresting. I also found the Cenobites dull and unscary as Horror figures go.
Have to admit though, from the number of fans you see dressed up as Pinhead and other Cenobites at conventions, there still seems to be a market for these movies out there.

V (Inferno) is tremendous - greatly enjoyed VI too (the return of Kirstie), and VII wasn't half bad.
some of the sequels IMO get crapped on for no reason.
that being said - I think II (Hellbound) gets way to much recognition and can't believe a lot of people regard it better than the original - to each their own - to me - Gore does not necessarily make a good Horror movie.
i also didn't like the way Pinhead went down to easily to Dr. Chanard - many argue - 'Well the Hellraiser series was never about Pinhead'. BS - he's the only reason to tune in IMO - which made his 'cameos' as some call them in V, VI and VII all the more enjoyable for me.

This franchise is such a dead horse! i'd rather this franchise just die already, there's nothing new you can really add to this franchise. I love 1 and 2 as i saw 1 and 2 in theaters when i lived in St Louis and Omaha when i was 5 and 6 with my big brother and my dad and i like part 3 as i saw that in theaters when i was 10 and liked it as it was a fun sequel but part 4 is the last decent movie in the franchise and the rest have been shitty.
This character has became a joke now and i'm honestly tired of it, i'm pinheaded out! i mean bringing this franchise back in theaters over and over is just gonna get diminishing returns and some will get tired of it. I'd rather they with Elm Street, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc. just end already, they are not under construction, it's a dead end as they are already dead. Let them rest in peace and move on, try to make new horror franchises and icons already.

The originals wern't that great, although fun and interesting concept. Remakes are always pretty much worse. Why bother? John Carpenter's The Thing

The originals wern't that great, although fun and interesting concept. Remakes are always pretty much worse. Why bother? John Carpenter's The Thing I don't really consider John Carpenter's The Thing as a "remake" of 1951's The Thing from Another World since both are completely different films and little in common other than monster and snowly place yet the locations with the alien, the methods/nature of the alien and all that are completely different. I consider it actually a separate adaptation of the 1938 novel which the earlier film The Thing from Another World was a poor adaptation of the novel despite being a very good film but terrible as an adaptation, Carpenter's film called The Thing is a standalone excellent adaptation of John W Campbell's classic book and the best adaptation of Campbell's story yet. For me remakes are when they are based on a motion picture produced earlier and an original screenplay and credits the screenplay saying "based on a screenplay by". As i know the differences on adaptations of books and true remakes. Adaptations of books: The Thing, Lord of the Ring, IT, Dracula, Moby Dick, Frankenstein, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast (although 2017's film doesn't count as it was a direct near shot to shot remake of the Disney adaptation), The Shining, Salem's Lot etc. Remakes: Maniac, Hills Have Eyes, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Elm Street, The Blob, Cat People, King Kong, Angels in the Outfield, Father of The Bride, The Birdcage. Just ask out Thing/remake/adaptation expert Sostie.

Jeez... All this stuff is such fucking overkill. The thing is that the concept of the Hellraiser story suggests a big mythology that you could build a lot of different stories around. But why should anyone buy that it will be good at all? Most of these movies have been terrible and even the best of them are underwhelming, but most of these rehash things just feel like what they are, which is a cheap attempt to retain or just squeeze some revenue out of an old IP rather than moving on to something else. Goyer doesn't interest me, and this series certainly doesn't. If Clive Barker came back to this and was able to do his thing the way he wanted, I might actually have some curiosity about it... But even then..
